MOBILISE TRAVEL FUND
We want to ensure as many people as possible can attend the MOBILISE Queer Power Parties, and we recognise that for many people in our community the cost of travelling to and from events is a barrier to access.
For each MOBILISE Party there is a limited number of cash travel bursaries available to support anyone for whom finance is a barrier to attend the parties to cover travel costs.
We anticipate that these bursaries will go to:
anyone who is unable to use public transport or travel by foot due to a disability/impairment.
anyone who cannot afford to pay for taxis or public transport and without this money could not attend the event.
anyone who does not feel safe to travel either by foot or public transport and therefore would not attend the party without a bursary (eg. trans and gender non-conforming folk who are at an increased risk of experiencing hate crime when travelling).
Bursaries of £10 or £20 are available, and can be paid either in advance via PayPal or at the party in cash.
Travel bursaries will be awarded on a first come first served basis. They are not means tested, however bursary spaces are limited so we ask that you only apply for as much as you need so that we can support as many as possible.
